Every home tells a story, and at D3 Built, we specialise in transforming these narratives into masterpieces of comfort, style, and functionality.
In collaboration with our project partner, Renoworx, we recently completed an extensive renovation on a home in Altona North. Today, we
take you behind the scenes of this incredible transformation journey.
Before we could breathe new life into this home, we needed to prepare the space. We began by removing all floor linings throughout the house, giving us a blank canvas to work with.
Next, we ground the slab, ensuring a smooth and even surface that would serve as the foundation for the transformations to come.
Before we could breathe new life into this home, we needed to prepare the space. We began by removing all floor linings throughout the
house, giving us a blank canvas to work with. Next, we ground the slab, ensuring a smooth and even surface that would serve as the
foundation for the transformations to come.
A well-lit home is a welcoming home, and as such, we replaced ten existing downlights with energy-efficient LED downlights. Alongside this,
we relocated plumbing services to accommodate new fixtures like troughs and a walk-in shower, setting the stage for a luxurious bathroom
makeover.
The bathroom is often considered a personal sanctuary, a space where one can unwind after a long day. With this in mind, we installed LED downlights, an exhaust fan, a new trough vanity, and accessories. We tiled the floors, splashback, and walls, creating a serene aesthetic. A level walk-in shower base was constructed, and a frameless fixed shower pane was installed, adding a touch of modern elegance to the space.
In a separate area of the home, we embarked on additional bathroom work. This included tiling the floors and walls and reinstalling the toilet after making necessary modifications. We also chased sewer and water lines for vanity installation, ensuring seamless plumbing integration.
The transformation continued with the installation of 86 sqm of flooring - a change that instantly refreshed the home's look. In the kitchen, we installed a U-shaped layout complete with deluxe stone flat panel doors, drawers, overheads, a standalone cabinet, and laundry cabinetry for a front-loader washing machine.
We then turned our attention to the heating system, removing services to a heater unit and making the switchboard compliant with RCD protection. To enhance the comfort level in the bathroom, we installed under-tile "Hotwire" heating. Additionally, we prepared the walls for painting, adding a fresh coat of vibrancy to the home.
Our story reached its climax with the installation of windows and a 4sqm tiled splashback in the kitchen area, adding the final touches to this comprehensive home transformation.
Throughout the renovation journey, we supplied various materials, including windows, flooring, cabinetry, skirting boards, and heating systems. We made sure to responsibly clear and dispose of all waste generated during the renovation, leaving the homeowners with nothing but their dream homes to enjoy.
As experts in custom home building, our mission at D3 Built is to transform homes into spaces that echo the style, needs, and aspirations of their owners. This project in Altona North exemplifies just that, demonstrating our commitment to quality, attention to detail, and passion for creating homes that tell unique stories.
